Bought a new pan tonight ready for guests, as I was doing pasta and meatballs, which has become my dinner party/ guest meal of choice. Well, I would do something different but Pete had raved so people gave been asking for it when they come.
I got a lovely Chasseur 30cm pan with deep sides and a nice flat bottom which is perfect for big dishes where I need to cook a lot of things. There will be no crowding the mushrooms I can assure you.
My tart looked lovely all finished.
It was not 100% set. If I think back my idleness of not using my kenwood to whip the egg whites is an issue. I got lazy. I may need to try again next time using airier egg whites. Also I think I need to mix the eggs and condensed milk more to thicken. I’m going to dominate this dish!
Shattered now. Booked my hotel for post Kylie. Can’t wait. Bloody expensive couple of days! But life is for living, and I’m certainly doing that. I can stress about cash another day.
